I arrived one week prior to the Indy in time to watch the track being built in the streets of Vancouver, with the other 18 national finalists arriving the next day. The schedule was twice as complicated as the Toronto schedule, involving more hours of rehearsals, and numerous community promotional events. I found myself featured in the Vancouver Sun newspaper with my first runner-up from Toronto, and riding in the Transport Parade that marks the arrival of the Indy to that city. We competed all week long in the four categories of our competition, which are interview, photos, swimwear, and sports talent. My favourite was the sports routine category that was held at the Plaza of Nations next to the track, where it was absolutely packed with people. This was the final category for us to compete in and it ultimately decided the winner. Once again baton twirling served me well, and I was given the title of Miss Molson Indy Canada 2003. I was absolutely shocked but so happy. I was able to go to Surfer's Paradise, Australia for the Lexmark Indy 300 as a part of my prize!

On race day I got to ride with Bruno Junqueira for the parade lap followed by standing at Paul Tracy's car, who was once again at the number one spot on the grid in the pole position. And like the Toronto race, Paul Tracy won! Followed by Bruno Junqueira second, and Sebastian Bourdais third. I was soaked with champagne on the podium standing in between Paul and Bruno, but it's part of the job.
